“UPHOLDING MINORITY RIGHTS”

In a progressive move towards fostering understanding and upholding the rights of minorities in India, Telangana Catholic Bishops Conference (TCBC) Commission for Education AP, recently hosted a two-day seminar for school heads across Andhra Pradesh from 2nd – 3rd March 2024. The seminar delved into various facets of the Indian legal system, with a specific focus on fundamental rights enshrined in the Constitution and the judicial interpretation of minority rights by the Supreme Court of India. Organized against the backdrop of evolving societal dynamics and the pressing need to safeguard minority rights, the seminar featured distinguished speakers, Ravi Sagar, Advocate on Record, and Bibin John, Advocate, both eminent lawyers associated with the Centre for Human Rights and Law (CHRL), New Delhi.
