NATIONAL SEMINAR-CUM-WORKSHOP ON

“EDUCATIONAL RIGHTS OF THE MINORITIES”

(Organized by Jesuit Research & Development Society (JRDS) New Delhi.)

JRDS, New Delhi, is pleased to invite you for a seminar-cum-workshop on “Educational Rights of the Minorities” from 25th to 28th  October, 2019 (starting at 8.30 a.m. on 25th and ending at 4.00 p.m. on 28th) at Indian Social Institute, 10 Institutional Area, Lodi Road, New Delhi -110003.

PARTICIPANTS

This workshop is organized for the benefit of the Heads of the Educational Institutions, Managers, Correspondents, Principals and Educationists from all over India.

OBJECTIVES OF THE WORKSHOP

  1. The main focus of this workshop is to enlighten the participants with regard to their rights as Minorities with regard to:
  • appointment of the Heads of the Institutions,
  • appointment of teachers,
  • procedure for disciplinary action,
  • criteria for admission policy according to Supreme Court directions,
  • fee structure,
  • procedure for obtaining minority status certificate and necessity of obtaining minority status certificate,
  • laws with regard to Provident Fund, Gratuity, ESI,
  • application of reservation to minority institutions,
  • need of creating a safe environment for children and vulnerable adults
  • National Education Policy
  • Basic understanding of Criminal Law of the country
  • updated rules with regard to  FCRA including recent changes in the Income Tax Act, etc
  1. It also aims to empower the participants to be more effective in the management of the educational institutions with increased knowledge and proper application of their rights under the Constitution of India as well as other laws of the land.

 RESOURCE PERSONS

Eminent Jurists, advocates and legal experts on educational rights of the minorities will be the resource persons.

As the seminar is going to benefit much for the smooth running of educational institutions, we invite you to participate in the above said programme. If you are unable to attend this workshop, you may depute one or two authorized representatives of your institution. The applications will be accepted on a ‘first come first served’ basis.

Accommodation for outstation participants on sharing basis (only for 100 persons) will be arranged at Indian Social Institute’s Hostel from 24th October (Morning) to 29th October (forenoon), 2019.  To and fro travel expenses to be met by the participants.
