Role: The HR Officer will be responsible for employment policies and procedures, overseeing payroll and rewards and recognition programs as well as managing workplace safety initiatives. Along with administering employee-benefit programs, the HR Officer’s role involves finding, screening, recruiting new job applicants and developing training and development programs for all employees. S/he will be responsible for effective employee management and providing comprehensive coordinating support to the programmes & operations. S/he shall execute tasks concerning HR administration and management aspects of the projects/programmes in line with the HR policies and ensure implementation of the HR policies and procedures in the institute, in compliance with the national labour law and the directions and guidelines, within the scope of responsibilities.

Duties and Key responsibilities:

  1. Provide valuable inputs in creating TOR / Job description / Correspondence to clients and all PR related activities and drafting of various policies as desired by the Management and as per the organization’s requirements.
  2. Develop, review, propose, implement and to monitor compliance of Human Resource policies and procedures in areas including but not limited to recruitment and hiring, orientation, compensation and benefits, exit management, progressive discipline, performance management, and rewards and recognition.
  3. Provides professional support and guidance to all staff in relation to Human Resources issues
  4. Manages employee benefits program and provides management with recommendations/improvement of benefits plans within budgets available
  5. Ensure statutory compliances
  6. Assists the management in the development and implementation of a learning and development plan to improve the knowledge and performance of the staff
  7. Facilitate the internal complaints and grievance committee
  8. Oversee the employee onboarding, monthly payroll processing/administration and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements
  9. Maintain employee database for 100% data accuracy
  10. Maintaining up to date HR files and other related records
  11. Performing file audits to ensure all required employee documentation is collected and maintained.
  12. Coordinate in performing payroll/benefit functions & audits as and when required.
  13. Manage employee mobility through transfers, promotions, and terminations.
  14. Ensure effective and timely execution of all correspondences related to HR
  15. Overseeing and managing the social events in the organization - festivals and institutional events.
  16. Oversee the tracking of attendance and leave to ensure compliance with policies
  17. Oversee other regular and/or ad-hoc HR administrative/operational tasks i.e., filing, preparing, and maintaining contracts (employee and consultant), HR Manual and Standard Operating Procedures, and other HR document/files to meet regulatory and internal requirements
  18. Oversee and ensure that exit formalities are fulfilled and complied with the policies and procedures of the organization.
  19. Report to management regarding HR of the organization.
  20. Any other responsibilities as assigned from time to time

Qualification, experience & person specification:

  • Graduate in any discipline, Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field from a reputed institution, with minimum 05 years of relevant experience in the non-profit sector.
  • Additional qualifications related to HR functions such as MBA with specialization in HR; Personnel Administration/ additional HR certification will be an added advantage  
  • Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Well versed and able to provide the necessary HR support and advice as per the local labor laws
  • Being a self-starter with drives and initiative and able to work as a team/individual with a positive attitude and open-minded
  • Excellent communication and high confidence level
  • Considerate and deliberate in dealing with people and managing conflict
  • Ability to work with less supervision and under pressure
  • Excellent multi-tasking, organized and follow-up skills, problem-solving and decision-making skill
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication skills in the English and Hindi Languages
  • High level of PC literacy, especially in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Proven skills in database management and record-keeping
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and perform under deadline

  • Excellent Communication both oral and written in English & Hindi

Salary: Rs. 50,000-60,000 /- per month (Non-negotiable)
